The variety and scope of the work we\u2019re doing is, without doubt, one of the best parts of our job.<\/p>\n<p>It means that every day in our world is a different one. That\u2019s one of the reasons I wanted to work in journalism \u2013then subsequently, PR, social and media relations \u2013 in the first place.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Digital life Stories<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>One of our clients is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyas.net\/\">NYAS<\/a>, and if you haven\u2019t heard of them they are the National Youth Advocacy Service. The NYAS team, as well as hundreds of advocates and volunteers around the country, are doing some amazing work for young people in the care system. Genuinely amazing.<\/p>\n<p>The passion and commitment we\u2019ve seen from the people we\u2019ve met since we\u2019ve been working with them has been inspiring in so many ways. And the results they are achieving for young people across the UK are incredible.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Working with young people in Exeter<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>So, Account Manager Lauren and I were delighted to be able to spend a couple of days with NYAS advocates, volunteers and young people within the care system to work on the\u00a0<em>Digital Life Stories<\/em>\u00a0project recently.<\/p>\n<p>Together with our partners at Trunk we flew down to Exeter and hosted a series of workshops \u2013 with the young people at the centre of the activities \u2013 to help them develop their understanding of film-making, video production, story-telling and marketing.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1274\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nobraineragency.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Screen-Shot-2017-08-23-at-09.43.40.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"100\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Lauren and I focused our workshops on what makes news and how story-telling with purpose is something we all do every day. The contributions we had from every one of the young people was amazing, and the stories they created blew us away.<\/p>\n<p>Adam and the team at Trunk focused on film making, character creation and video production during their sessions and the ideas were nothing short of inspirational. The output will be an animation inspired totally by the young people we spent two amazing days with.<\/p>\n<p>Trunk will now spend the next few weeks making their vision a reality, working together with NYAS, we\u2019ll be organising a showcase event later this year.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1277\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nobraineragency.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Screen-Shot-2017-08-23-at-09.28.17.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"127\" \/><\/p>\n<article id=\"post-787\" class=\"post-single post-787 post type-post status-publish format-standard has-post-thumbnail hentry category-blog tag-agency tag-content-marketing tag-exeter tag-no-brainer tag-nyas tag-social-media tag-story tag-story-telling tag-warrington\">\n<div class=\"single-body\">\n<div>\n<p>It was inspiring to hear the ideas, to see the confidence grow, and to sense the excitement in the eight young people who took part in the two day workshops. There was a standout moment for me when one young man came bursting up to me on the second day, a scrap of paper in hand, showing me the story he\u2019d written overnight. \u201cIt just came to me\u2026I didn\u2019t know I could even write stories!\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>It took a lot of preparation to organise the workshops which could, at times, prove to be a little bit challenging!
